After traversing the greater East Africa, today, the #JaladaFestival begins the journey from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam and hops into the truck that has allowed it to move through the 5 countries, 12 towns festival circuit. Since March 3rd, Jalada Festival has held events in Kenya (Nairobi, Nakuru, Kisumu), Uganda (Kampala, Kabale), Democratic Republic of Congo (Goma), Rwanda (Kigali), Tanzania (Mwanza, Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar), and now for the last town in the Festival, Jalada is heading to Mombasa.

Jalada has partnered with the Little theatre club to bring you the last leg of the festival with a showcase of panel discussion on “The Motif of Fear” at the Coast, spoken word, poetry, and music, and school visits as part of the #JaladaBookCaravan.

The Kenyan leg of the Jalada Festival is supported by Goethe-Institut Nairobi

It has been a month on the road, across countries, will Mombasa welcome us back home?

Come to the Little Theatre Club Mombasa!
